Dubious Story of the Morning: Drummer Leaves Band After Being Struck by Lightning

A krampus. But not that Krampus. From Metal Underground:

The Italian folk metal band Krampus has parted ways with drummer Carlo Andrian has left the band. According to the band, Carlo was struck by lightning and will not be able to play the drums anytime soon. Krampus comments:

“With one laughing and one crying eye we have to announce that our drummer Carlo has left Krampus effective immediately. He has, in fact, been struck by lightning and considers himself lucky to not have gotten hurt worse.

“He is OK, but will not be able to play the drums for some time to come. Carlo is a great friend of us and we would like to thank him for the great effort and dedication he has had for the band. We wish him good and full recovery and all the best for his future endeavours.

“The good news is that we are already working on a replacement, and will have exciting news to announce sooner rather than later. One hint for now: He’s a very talented musician, and you have most likely already heard of him with his current band!”

Uh, his “current band?”  Is that the punch line?  Or is this story legit?
