Ed the Sock launches NewMusicNation, an online analogue to MuchMusic

While Bell Media is relaunching MuchMusic on TikTok, Ed the Sock has his own project called NewMusicNation. The project, which began as a concept that would bring back old-school-style MuchMusic programming, is now online.

Ed (actually creator Steven Kerzner) says that NewMusicNation will start with two or three hours of content a week. Programs include:

  • Yo Canada (an all-Canadian show)
  • Video Overload
  • Rapsody
  • GenPop
  • The Punk Projekt
  • Metal Momentum
  • Videoflow
  • Are You Kidding

  • Will his collaborators be paid this time? Or is he scamming people for more free labour?

    • Oh Jen maybe if you worked on building your own life you wouldn’t feel compelled to try and tear others down. (A fancy way of saying get a life)

  • Having known Ed and his family for 25 years and worked with him many times I can say he rules . After all those years he let me host a show . Its called support and friendship . To be honest even if I didnt do the Punk Projekt I would still watch because I love and support exactly what he is doing .
