Eminem’s Rap Battle Comedy to Premiere at TIFF

Eminem knows a thing or two about rap battles (hello, 8 Mile!), so when he was approached to produce a movie–a comedy, no less–he jumped in.

Bodied, which is set to premiere at TIFF in September, is described as “a satirical exploration of the world’s most artistically brutal sport — battle rapping.” And instead of being set in Detroit, the setting is Toronto.

The film stars Anthony Michael Hall, Debra Wilson, Charlamagne tha God, Alter Perez, Rory Uphold, Jackie Long, Callum Worthy and Shoniqua Shanda, Loaded Lux, Dizaster, Dumbfounded and Hollow Da Don.
