Eurovision is in full effect in Liverpool. Here are all 37 contestants

If you’ve never followed/watched Eurovision, you’re probably why people make such a big deal about it. To put it simply, this has been the world’s greatest batsh*t crazy music competition since 1956. You never, ever know what kind of weird/outrageous/bad acts are going to make it to the finals. And with 37 entries, there’s plenty of opportunity for strangeness.

The semifinals are over with the finals set for Saturday. But if you’re late to the party, here’s a video showing 40-second clips of all 37 entries from across Europe plus Australia. Wait until you get to the Croatian entry. The Australian song has an interesting twist at the end, too. And Germany is very metal.

(I thought Canada was supposed to be involved this year. Apparently, I was misinformed.)

Here are your finalists from the first semi-finals. The second round of goes tonight (May 11).

  1. United Kingdom
  2. France
  3. Spain
  4. Germany
  5. Italy
  6. Ukraine
