Exercise Over the Holidays and Save Your Hearing

The average person puts on four pounds between Christmas and New Year’s.  Obviously, a little bit of exercise can help compensate for this.  And as an unexpected side effect, this exercise can also help save your hearing.

This is especially true of women.  A new study of 70,000 women found that those who gained the most weight were more likely to go deaf.  Two hours of exercise per week can reduce that risk by up to 15%.

Dudes should not feel smug, either.  The findings can also be applied to men.  More details here.

Meanwhile, a company is anticipating a new generation of deaf people with this new fashionable hearing aid.
