Factory 251–Peter Hook’s Manchester’s Club–Has Roof Cave-in. Seven Hurt

Four men and three women are said to have suffered minor injuries when the roof fell in at Factory 251, the nightclub that lives in the same building as the old Factory Records headquarters in Manchester.

At around 2:30 in the morning, the plasterboard in the roof began to buckle.  It looks like a screw head in a piece of that plasterboard snapped off which cause that part of the ceiling to fall.  The people below ended up with some cuts and bruises.

The good news is that it seems to be a simple minor internal structural issue.  A busted ceiling tile, in other words.  The club will be open later today as usual.
