Some Familiar Names Performing at Dublin’s Bowie Festival

Dublin is holding their third annual Bowie Festival in January. January 8th would have been David Bowie’s 71st birthday.

The gig will take place as part of The Dublin Bowie Festival’s 3rd year. The multi venue music and arts celebration of the cultural legacy of David Bowie. The Festival will run over 7 days and nights in various venues around the city and will be comprised of live music, art, cinema, design, fashion, Q&A’s, banter, collectors market, and lots more.

You may recognize a few names in this group!

To celebrate David Bowie’s 71st birthday, supergroup Holy Holy will play Vicar St on January 8 for a performance of Bowie’s album, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust & The Spiders From Mars and other tracks from ’69 -’73.

Holy Holy is an 8 piece comprised of Bowie’s bassist Tony Visconti, Spider From Mars drummer Woody Woodmansey, Heaven 17’s Glenn Gregory on lead vocals, James Stephenson (The Cult, The Alarm, Scott Walker) on lead guitar, Paul Cudderfor (Ian Hunter) on guitars, Terry Edwards (PJ Harvey, The Blockheads) on sax and percussion, Berenice Scott (Heaven 17) and Jessica Lee Morgan (keys, backing vocals)
