Fan voting continues for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The leaderboard shows what’s wrong with this whole thing.
If you care about who gets into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, fan voting proceeds for the Class of 2020.
Two things before you read any further: People are allowed to vote more than once. And second, the public isn’t always right. How can a band as important as Kraftwerk be so disrespected? The MC5 is last, tens of thousands of votes behind Whitney f**king Houston?

I love Soundgarden, but come on. They just aren’t a HOF band.
It’s criminal that Kraftwork, Depeche Mode, and Judas Priest aren’t in there yet.
What is remotely rock about Whitney Houston? Absofuckinglutely nothing. The fact that she’s even ON this list speaks volumes about how completely irrelevant the RRHOF is.
Taking nothing away from her singing ability, she’s easy listening, adult contemporary whitewashed pop for people who wanted to think they were getting down with their bad selves.
Rufus & Chaka Khan at least have some funk muscles to flex in this game.
But MC5 in last place?
Fuck the hall of fame. Hall of catering to the masses, instead of curating.
BTW you need another western speaking tour.
