Fancy a wager? Here are the weird music-related Super Bowl prop bets

Before the Chiefs (ugh) and the Eagles (their fans: ugh) take the field Sunday night, bookies are in overdrive taking people’s money. There are chances to lay cash down on a million things outside the game itself. Here are some selected prop bets that are related to music.

“The Star-Spangled Banner”

John Baptiste will sing it, but how? On a piano? How long will he take to get through it all? The over-under is 120.5 seconds with the length of the final note (“BRAAAAAAAAAVE”) having an over-under of 3.5 seconds. And wanna bet how many players/coaches will be shown crying during the anthem? That’s an option, especially with Patrick Mahomes.

The halftime show

This is Kendrick Lamar’s gig. Despite his feud with Drake, bookies are laying action that Drizzy will show up to perform, giving odds of +3500. There are other options, too.

  • Lamar’s first song will be “Humble” (+160)
  • Lamar’s last song will be “All the Stars” (210)
  • Total number of songs jammed into his performance: Over-under of 10.5.
  • And will Lamar mention Drake? Yes -450, no -450.

Back to Drake for a second

He bets on EVERYTHING. But the Drake Curse says that whoever he bets on will lose. Will Drake put money on the Chiefs (-170) or the Eagles (+130)? And will be he seen wearing the gear of either team? The current line is Chiefs at -170.

Taylor Swift

Of course there are Swifty bets. Tons of them. Here are a few.

  • The chances of Travis Kelce proposing here after the game: +750 yes, -1500 no.
  • How many times will she be shown during the game? The over-under is 5.5 times.
