Father Throws a SIX MILLION DOLLAR Party for his 15 Year-Old Daughter

If you have kids, do NOT let them see this post.

Thomas Henry is a well-to-do lawyer–one of those personal injury types–in San Antonio, Texas, who wanted to do something nice for his daughter Maya’s 15th birthday–a quinceañera (a word that I’ve just learned) to celebrate her ascent into adulthood. And he might have gone a little overboard. Daddy arranged for the following:

  • A performance by Pitbull
  • A performance by Nick Jonas
  • Maya and her friends had their make-up done by Patrick Ta, who has worked with those awful Kardashians.
  • Two dresses designed by Rolando Santana.
  • Photography by Donna Newman, who has taken shots of Michelle Obama and Matt Damon.

Six hundred people were invited to the party, which was held in a purpose-built 55,000 square foot venue that was decorated with cherry trees 30 feet tall. There were also rose gardens, fountains and a ballroom filled with butterflies.

The whole event required 150 planners hired out of New York. The family arrived at the party in NINE Rolls-Royces and a police escort.

Christ, if this is what she got for her 15th, what will her sweet 16 be like? Or her 18th? Or her wedding?

If you’re looking for a reason to get riled up about (a) the 1 Per Cent; and (b) a child who does nothing but spend her time on social media, go here. But I warn you: This may ruin your day.
