Fiddy’s 2 Year-Old Son Earns More Than You Do. A LOT More

Well, this’ll bring you down on a Tuesday.

Young Sire Jackson, 50 Cent’s two year-old son. Although he’s a still a couple of years away from kindergarten, he’s already working as a male model. His latest gig is a contract with Kidz Safe, a company that makes headphones for little kids. What’s the contract worth? A quick $700,000.

That’s worth deconstructing.  First, there’s a company that makes headphones for kids that can afford to pay $700,000 to a baby for an endorsement.  How many of these things do they have to sell for $30 just to pay for that?  Not only is Sire’s college fund and retirement fund already topped up from his own work, but Daddy’s SMS Audio headphones sell for $300, so chances are there’s a sizable inheritance down the road. And don’t even get me started on Vitamin Water.

More depressing news at the LA Times.
