Finally! A streaming service for metalheads. Introducing THUNDERFLIX

Samuel Douek loves metal. After trying and trying to find “high-quality metal entertainment” and failing, he decided to take matters into his own hands. Behold Thunderflix.

“Imagine a Netflix but all metal,” Douek says. This means everything from concert films (Slipknot, Rage, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, and The Scorpions are among the offerings). There are also plans to bring in metal-themed documentaries in the future. The cool thing is that the library contains concerts that up until now have only been available on DVD or–get this–VHS.

All flavours of metal are represented. Douek says, “From death metal to speed to black to thrash and power and folk … it’s important people know, Thunderflix is made by metalheads for metalheads. We’re not a big corporation; we’re metalheads that want to enjoy our concerts and documentaries! We want to pay artists and labels their fair amount. And we want everyone to enjoy it!”

Thunderflix is available now for $6.66 a month (of course) or $66.60 a year. You can use iOS, AppleTV, Roku, and Amazon Fire TV with more platforms to come. There’s even a free trial.
