Flashback to 1975: “Tape Piracy Is Everyone’s Problem!”

Long before people had personal computers, the recording industry was all bent out of shape over the issue of home taping.  How DARE people record vinyl albums onto, er, 8-track so they could listen elsewhere–like the car?

Worse still were counterfeit tapes.  Digital Music News found this insert that came with Spirit’s Spirt of ’76, which was released in 1975.  Click on the image to embiggen.
