Any story with a headline that begins with the words “Florida man” is guaranteed to involve some sort of insane/stupid/whacked-out behaviour. This is one of those times.

A Florida man named Lane Pittman sought to fight back against Hurricane Dorian by unleashing the power of metal–certainly a better solution than Trump’s idea of using nukes.

Did it work? Well, did this Category 5 storm come ashore in Florida? No, it did not. Draw your own conclusions.
