The Foo Fighters Surprise Everyone with a New Song Called “Run.” And It Kicks a Substantial Amount of Ass.

Without any warning, the Foo Fighters dropped a new song on the world this morning. Okay, they did debut a track called “The Sky is Neighbourhood” last month at a benefit in San Francisco. But there was zero indication that anything else was in the pipeline.

Oh, and Dave Grohl directed the video which is set in a nursing home. Maybe you recognize some of the old folks. Take a look.

The Foos are back. And they want everyone to wake up.

It also looks like we have a Foo Fighters logo.

  • The drumming gives a few nods to EDM, and the dance finale is quite effective at mocking contemporary culture as well, ha.
