For reasons that remain mysterious, Panic! At the Disco fans are finding potatoes in their mailboxes. Yes, as in the tuber.
There’s nothing like a vegetable mystery to get the Intertubes twerking in anticipation.
Fans of Panic! At the Disco in Canada, the US, the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Australia and New Zealand report that they’ve been receiving potatoes in the mail. Yes, potatoes. And not just any run-of-the-mill tuber, either. It’s a large baking potato with the image of P!atD’s Brendon Urie on it.

Then there was this spud.
I came home to a potato in the mail that says “Oh it’s Saturday night” @brendonurie was this your doing? If so you’re a legend @PanicAtTheDisco pic.twitter.com/HLavvMt3Lf

Some people are rather freaked out.
First holy water bottles and now mystery potatoes? Do you want to explain what is going on @brendonurie @panicatthedisco @ScottSays ? #PrayForTheWicked pic.twitter.com/0pStVjgEc5

This evidently has something to do with the band’s new single, “Say Amen (Saturday Night)” that features Brendon stabbing some dude in the face through a potato.
