For some unknown reason, it looks like someone bought the assets of the Fyre Festival

Earlier this month, we learned that convicted conman Billy McFarland, the guy who insisted he could stage the Fyre Festival, blessedly decided to give up. All Fyre Festival assets were put up for sale on eBay. And we apparently have a buyer of the brand, all the trademarks, social media assets–everything.

What did they pay? Almost US$250,000.

McFarland’s reaction to the bidding? “Damn. This sucks, it’s so low.”

So who bought it and why? No idea–at least not yet. (Via Rick J)
