Fort McMurray Band Releases Song Dedicated to First Responders During the Wildfire

With the Fort McMurray wildfire still affecting the evacuated communities, local band Freedom’s Note has just released a song about it. Called “The Fight”, band members Donny Synard and Danny Frewer wrote the song dedicated “to firefighters and first responders that acted with speed and military precision during this devastation”.

The single was recorded at Calgary’s MCC Recording Studio after Fort Mac was evacuated. A music video was also created by Mathew Jensen from JensenWorks Technology in Kelowna. The video features still images of Fort McMurray both during and after the wildfire destroyed 2400 homes.

Proceeds from the single go to the Alberta Fires Appeal via the Red Cross. You can donate directly or buy the single.
