Four out of five members of this band quit all at once

How bad must it have been in Every Time I Die for four of the five members to quit at the same time? The only guy left is singer Keith Buckley.

There’s a backstory to this drama. A couple of weeks ago, Buckley said that he was taking a break from the band to deal with mental health issues. At the same time, he claimed that the rest of the group was scheming behind his back to replace him. And one of the guys who bailed was Jordan Buckley, Keith’s brother. Oy vey.

Buckley posted this statement.

The rest of the band says they plan to release their own statement. More gory details here.

  • Interesting take, but weirdly inaccurate. It implies that singer Keith is the sole remaining member of the band which is not true. Nobody “quit” the band. There simply is no band anymore — it’s been dissolved. Like a marriage. Even their official Twitter account has been deactivated. Keith was hit with a cease and desist to stop using the band name and accompanying trademarks back in December — so that will keep him from continuing on as the sole remaining member (not that he expressed interest in doing that, anyway). And the remaining members have already expressed intent for continuing on with another singer as a different band entirely. This was a separation.
