Fox News Declares the Red Hot Chili Peppers to be the “Worst Band on the Planet”

A couple of things: (a) No one should ever take music recommendations from Fox News; and (b) This comment isn’t as incendiary as it first seems. It’s more clickbait than anything else.

Let’s deconstruct this. It all begins with this adorable video of Koko the Gorilla playing Flea’s bass.

Upon seeing this video, Fox’s Greg Gutfeld turned music critic. “The ape is better than Anthony Kiedis. By the way, the ape is 45, which is half the age of Anthony Kiedis. Red Hot Chili Peppers, poor man’s Faith No More, don’t ever forget it.”

Bottom line? The guy was just being a knob. Are we really going to take him seriously? Hell, no. But give him props for appreciating Faith No More.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go yell at myself for perpetuating this stupid story. I should know better.

  • All this proves is that FOX News has never heard Limp Bizkit.

  • Alan, I hope you give yourself a damn good talking to. This was a disservice to humanity. Now I’m off to do the same to myself for stupidly opening such obvious clickbait.

What’s next? Opening a page on celebrities who are known to smell awful?
