Free-Form DJ Doc, I Am What I Play, to Run at CMW

I Am What I Play, Roger King’s documentary about four DJs from the free-form days of rock radio, will be premiered in Boston. Its next stop will be at Canadian Music Week for a Canadian premiere on May 8.

I’ve seen it and it’s very good. Anyone who remembers names like David Marsden (the guy who hired me at CFNY), Meg Griffin (WNEW/New York), Charles Laquidara (WBCN/Boston) and Pat O’Day (KJR/Seattle). Here’s a trailer. Buy tickets here.
