Free SlamFest admission for Roxodus ticket holders

good people over at On the Grand feel for those who spent their hard-earned
money on Roxodus tickets now that the festival’s been cancelled.

They want to try and create a silver lining, so they’re now offering all those ticketholders free admission to SlamFest in Kitchener on Saturday instead.

many were imagining to be the highlight of the summer has become the opposite.
On the Grand and BeyondOz Productions understand the impact this has on members
of the community. As a result, BeyondOz wants to reach out to ALL Roxodus
ticket holders and offer free tickets to SlamFest in Kitchener this Saturday,
July 6, headlined by Queensryche, SKID ROW and Great White.”

there’s no need to worry about a bait-and-switch or disappointment.

gimmicks, no hidden fees, no surprises,” the groups say.

a really nice gesture from what wasn’t even a competing event, not really.
Roxodus was supposed to be next weekend and features a different kind of vibe:
among the artist that were supposed to perform (and all of which were paid)
were Aerosmith, Kid Rock, Nickelback, Matt Good and Big Wreck.

Roxodus’ organizers are blaming the rainier than usual spring for the cancellation but no one really knows why the plug was pulled. Refunds will be issued, they say.

the meantime, why not take advantage of the offer, truck out to Kitchener and
see what SlamFest is all about. Could be a good time!  Go here
