About that full-on classic lineup Smashing Pumpkins reunion: I have some good news and some bad news

One of the most-rumoured and therefore most-anticipated reunions of 2018 involves the four original members of the Smashing Pumpkins, the people who gave use those brilliant first three albums. Will Billy Corgan once again play nice with James Iha, Jimmy Chamberlin and D’Arcy Wretzky?

The answer seems to be both “yes” and “no.”

First, the good news. According to an email written to a site called Blast Echo, D’Arcy confirmed that the group is going to launch a summer tour in July. Yay!

Now the bad news. She also wrote “My apologies to all of the Smashing Pumpkins fans out there who are excited about this oncoming reunion tour of the original members of the band. I know this is a huge disappointment for me, as well, but it’s not going to happen [with me].” Boo.
