Fun: Introducing stereo to the world in 1958.

I’m fascinated by the history of the gear with which we use to listen to music. For the first 70 years of recorded music, all records were in mono. But then in the late 50s, new LPs were introduced that featured two-channel stereo. Yes, you needed a new pickup/stylus, turntable, amplifier, and an extra speaker, but once you heard music this way, there was no going back.

Here are four films made back in 1958 designed to familiarize the public with the new tech.
