Have Fun with This Unknown Pleasures Waveform Generator

The cover of Joy Division’s first album, Unknown Pleasures, is one of the most iconic in the twentieth century. Graphic designer Peter Saville designed the Joy Division cover based off of an image of radio waves from a pulsar CP 1919 that guitarist Brian Sumner found in The Cambridge Encyclopaedia of Astronomy.

Github user Garrett Finucane has created an Unknown Pleasures waveform generator that you can play around with. It’s quite easy to use and you can clear the sample output by clicking “draw” and when you’re happy with your creation, you can turn it into a gif by clicking “Gifit”
