How To Fund Your Career in the Music Industry

I’m excited to announce my next Music Technology Event (November 17, in downtown Toronto).

This time we have joined forces with Digital Media at the Crossroads to help you explore funding avenues available to music technology startups (see event poster below).

As usual, attending the event is free. And even though we’re a total non-profit group, we will provide free pizza (now courtesy of Panago Pizza!), snacks, drinks, and ice cold Steam Whistle—all free of charge (you can’t network on an empty stomach, right?). But we need you to RSVP.

I’ll see you there! Details below:

Our featured presentation will be given by Duncan McKie, President of FACTOR.

Talk title: How FACTOR can help my tech company develop a music project

Duncan McKie has been the President of FACTOR since December of 2010. Prior to this assignment, he enjoyed a broad and distinguished career in culture, media and market research, and regulatory affairs. Duncan was the President of the Canadian Independent Music Association (CIMA) from 2007 to 2010.

A short Q&A session will follow the presentation, so have your questions ready!

Will this event ever make it to Vancouver?? I’m almost finished my CD and I’d like to get it out there too as many ears as I can.
