Fyre Festival II now has a date and a location but no signed acts.

Billy McFarland, the convicted fraudster who spent four years in jail for the fiasco that was the Fyre Festival, is trying again with Fyre Festival II. Why anyone would trust this guy is beyond me, but here we are.

The event is allegedly going to happen on April 25, 2025, on a private island off the coast of Mexico’s Caribbean coast. Attendance will be limited to 3,000 for a three-day festival. Tickets run from–wait for it–US$1,400 to $1.1 MILLION.

Right. Sure.

Which island? McFarland won’t say. How will the island be equipped? Some unnamed festival production company. What do the saps who pay $1.1 million supposed to get? A luxury yacht. Scuba diving. Island hopping.

And who’s been booked to perform? No one. But there could be karate combat on the beach. (I’m serious about that; McFarland thinks having live fights in a pit would be cool.”

Yada yada yada. Anyone who gives this guy money deserves whatever they get.
