The Geeks & Beats Podcast is Now ON THE AIR! (Like, REAL RADIO!)
The World’s Most Popular Podcast™ has joined the Bell Media Radio Network!
Starting tonight (October 3), NewsTalk 1010 in Toronto will air the big show on Fridays at 10PM and again Saturdays at 9PM.
It’s a bit of a homecoming for Michael, actually. His second radio job was behind the scenes at CFRB 1010 (as it was then known). At the time it was a music and talk station — it’s where he learned about Peter Appleyard, Englebert Humperdinck and the big bands by spinning 78s on Calling All Britons! with the late Ray Sonin, producing talk shows with Andy Barrie, Wayne McLean and Ted Woloshyn. It’s an honour to be on the same airwaves.
The Big Show will soon also be heard on another venerable radio station, CKLW AM800, otherwise known in its heyday in Windsor-Detroit as “The Big 8″. Montreal‘s CJAD 800AM, NewsTalk 1290 CJBK in London, and AM1150 in Kelowna, BC are also on-board to start carrying the show this fall.
