Gift Idea: A Proper Vinyl Record Cleaner

You’d expect that as the largest manufacturer of turntables in the world Pro-Ject, a company based out of the Czech Republic and Austria, would know a thing or two about keeping vinyl clean for their machines. And they do. Take a look at the VC-S cleaning apparatus.

Similar machines have existed for decades, but Pro-Ject claims theirs can clean the side of a disc three times faster than the competition. In just two rotations, it can remove all the gunk trapped within the grooves. That takes about two seconds.

It’s not cheap–$490 USD–but if your vinyl has been sitting in the basement for years waiting to be rediscovered, then the VC-S might be a worth investment. (Via GizMag)
