Gift Idea: AfterShokz Headphones

One of the problems with headphones is that they seal you off from the outside world.  That’s usually a good thing, but it also creates danger.  If all you can hear is music, how can you tell that a car is about to hit you from behind?

That’s why I’m intrigued by headphones that use military-grade bone induction technology.  You don’t stick anything in your ears.  Instead, the drivers of the headphones pump vibrations straight into the bones of your head and then into your inner ear.

Take a look at this review at Mashable.  I’d love a pair of these things for when I go jogging–providing they sound okay.
