  • That video is known in online goth circles as being factually incorrect. People get their knickers in a twist over it. Personally I wouldn’t trust the info it contains. For example, Jay Hawkins influenced horror punk way more than he influenced goth bands. The Misfits, famous inventors of horror punk, actually played some shows with him over 40 years ago. The Jay Hawkins horror punk connection is there, but not really the goth connection.
