It’s Been a Good Week for Jack White. Here’s Why.

Item 1:  Jack White’s Lazeratto debuted at #1 on the Canadian album charts with 14,000 units and in the US album with 138,000 copies.

Item 2:  Of those Lazeratto copies sold in the US, 40,000–almost a third of them–were on vinyl.  That broke the 20 year-old record set by Pearl Jam’s Vitalogy back during the Clinton administration. To put it another way, had Jack only released the album on vinyl, it would have finished at #4 on this week’s US chart.

Item 3:  Jack now has his own flavour of ice cream–in Australia, anyway.  Anyone for some Jack ‘N White?  It’s made of Jack Daniels (!!!) and carmelized white chocolate gelato with carmelized fudge and carmelized pecans. Zero calories, I’m sure.

Item 4:  Here’s Jack at Bonnaroo jamming on “Seven Nation Army.”
