Google announces Nest Audio Sessions

The smart speaker war continues.

Google Play Music is gone, replaced by YouTube Music. To get things rolling, YouTube has teamed up with several artists for the Nest Audio Sessions. With the new Nest Audio smart speakers, the company has hired Ella Mai, Jessie Reyez, Mabel, Shizuku, Benee, Tove Lo, Lola Indigo, Joy Denalane, and Louane to provide some new tracks and re-imaginings of older songs to showcase the audio capabilities of the new speaker.

If you don’t have a Nest Audio speaker, don’t worry. If you have any device that runs Google Assistant, just say “Hey Google, play Nest Audio Sessions on YouTube Music” and voila.
