Goth God Peter Murphy has suffered a heart attack
Peter Murphy, best known as the frontman for goth pioneers Bauhaus, has suffered a heart attack
Murphy, 60, experienced shortness of breath and chest pain Wednesday night (August 13) and was rushed to a New York City hospital. It was, in fact, a proper myocardial infarction.
His cardiologist, Jason Song, had this to say: “[He] had two stents placed in his right coronary artery and was started on medications to manage his heart condition. Due to HIPAA regulations we cannot reveal further details of his condition. He is still in the hospital for continued monitoring of his condition.”
Understandably, the rest of his NTV residency at Le Poisson Rouge have been postponed.
