Did You Grab Your Beatles Bootleg Recordings?

According to some reports, The Beatles Bootleg Recordings–a collection of unreleased Beatles’ sessions–were put up for sale on iTunes for a few hours and then yanked.  This is a bit confusing because as I write this, I’m just completing the $40 purchase from the iTunes Canada store.  Weird.

In case you don’t know the story, new European Union copyright rules have forced Apple Corps. to issue this recordings just so the company can retain control of them (read the full story here.)  Here’s a tracklisting of all 59 songs courtesy of the Beatles blog, WogBlog: All Things Beatle.   If you’re a fan, you might want to act fast just in case these stories about a super-limited release are true.
