Green Day is Back with a New Political Statement

Green Day’s new greatest hits album, God’s Favourite Band, is out today and includes a new track called “Back in the USA.” The video is inspired by an underrated 1988 sci-fi film starring Rowdy Roddy Piper (yes, the wrestler) called They Live.

Let’s compare and contrast.

    “They Live” meets “Pleasantville”
    Hopefully this is the start of a return to American Idiot-era Green Day activism. It’s sorely needed!
