Green Day continues to tease new music involving the “1972” project

Green Day has been posting clips of them working in the studio, so it’s safe to assume that we’ll see a new album from them this year. But what’s with all the references to 1972? Another easy guess is that this reference to the fact that all three members of the band turn 50 this year. (Billie Joe already hit that mark; the other two guys have birthdays coming up in the next few months.)
