Green Day’s Nimrod to Get 20th Anniversary Vinyl Release

Has it really between twenty years since Nimrod was released? Green Day’s follow-up to Dookie came out October 14, 1997, which, of course, requires some sort of commemoration. The two vinyl reissues can be pre-ordered here.

A question: Why just 140-gram vinyl? Why skimp from the standard 180-gram weight? I’ve seen a few reissues like this and frankly, it’s starting to worry me. This is not good for the future of vinyl collecting.

  • Nimrod was the follow-up to Insomniac.
