Guess Who Has a New Record? Charles Manson. (Yes, Him)

Deep in my record collection, I have two copies of Charles Manson’s debut record, Lie:  The Love and Terror Cult–the original vinyl and a CD version.  Why?  I’m an obsessive collector.  These things happen.

Manson has plenty more records in his discography, too.  The latest is being sold out of a store called Beauty is Pain on Highland Avenue in LA.  It’s selling well, too.  In fact, there’s probably going to be a second pressing.

So what does it sound like?  It’s lofi and mono–it was recorded in prison, after all–and is “nasal, bluesy muisc.”  It’s not mass appeal stuff.  It’s not even very good.  But it is Manson, which is enough of a hook for some people.

You won’t find the title of this record in too many articles, so take it from me that it’s called Just Fuckin’ Around.  You can find out more here.
