GWAR is being investigated by the Secret Service

The US Secret Service is, among other things, charged with protecting federal politicians. That includes investigating threats, real and perceived, against the president.

While other parts of the US security apparatus are guarding the algae in the reflecting pool at the Washington Monument, Secret Service personnel are looking into GWAR.

GWAR was one of the acts at the Washington DC stop of the Warped Tour earlier this month. One of the things they did in their usual over-the-top way was a mock killing of Donald Trump. An effigy was dragged onstage and disembowelled. There was plenty of fake blood, as per GWAR. Fun, yeah?

MAGA fans went ballistic, of course.

This is not a new thing for GWAR. Several years ago, they did the same thing with Barack Obama. Did the Secret Service visit then? No.

Blöthar The Berserker had this to say in an interview: “We [fictitiously] killed President Obama. We didn’t hear from the Secret Service. But you [fictitiously] kill Trump, and you better believe that there’s gonna be some s–t going on.”
