Gwen Stefani Files for Divorce from Gavin Rossdale

Gwen and Gavin were the topic of conversation the other day. “Isn’t it cool how this power couple has managed to keep it together for so long? It’s been, what, 13 years?”

Um, hold the phone.

Word from LA is that Gwen has filed for divorce from Gavin, citing the old standby, “irreconcilable differences.” We’re left to speculate on what those differences might be.

Along with the asking for the split, she’s asking for joint custody of the kids, 9-year-old Kingston, 6-year-old Zuma and 1-year-old Apollo. Gavin has also asked for joint custody. Since there’s no pre-nup, assets will be divided 50-50, something that will definitely work in Gavin’s favour. TMZ estimates she’s worth $80 million while Gavin is worth a mere $35 million.

While the two of us have come to the mutual decision that we will no longer be partners in marriage, we remain partners in parenthood and are committed to jointly raising our three sons in a happy and healthy environment.
