Has Randy Bachman Solved a Decades-Old Guitar Mystery?

The Mona Lisa is a mystery. Who is she?  What’s she so smug about?  Why did Leonardo choose to paint her? Theories still pop up centuries after he laid down his brush.

There’s a similar mystery when it comes to rock.  Launch a Google search with the string “opening chord Beatles Hard Day’s Night” and you’ll get thousands of hits, many of which purport to explain what, exactly, John Lennon (?) plays.  What the hell is that mysterious chord? Randy Bachman believes he can help.
