Having a problem with apps crashing today? You’re not alone.

This is weird. If you tried to sign on to Facebook with your iPhone this morning, you may have been met with a crash. The same thing is reported happening with TikTok, Spotify, and Pinterest.

Yes, the iOS14 is out there, but that doesn’t seem to be the cause of things. Facebook made some changes to its app this week, which might be the bug. But that doesn’t explain the issues with those other apps and perhaps a dozen more (including Tinder and Bumble! On a Friday? GASP!)

This is from a monitoring site called Downdetector. Note the spike in problems.

At this point, the outages seem to be concentrated in central Europe (Germany, Netherlands, Belgium with significant spread into the UK).

Weird. It’s looks like a tough date for admins.
