Having trouble finding new music to love? Let’s get some AI assistance with Deepcuts

Stories involving artificial intelligence are everywhere: ChatGPT, Google’s Bard, Microsoft’s new version of Bing–the list goes on. A lot of this tech is pretty cool–if you ignore the warnings from scientists who say rogue AI will eventually wipe out humanity.

Until that happens, we might as well make use of the technology in helpful ways. Deepcuts is a new AI-powered music search/music recommendation platform that allows anyone to dive deep into their Spotify data by simply asking questions.

Okay, I’ll bite. I connected my Spotify account.

I asked it a question: “What are some good shoegaze songs?” A: “No data found.” Hmm. Let’s try again with a suggested question.

Q: “Which of my genres has the highest number of followers per artist?” A: “Glam metal. AVERAGE_FOLLOWERS 27,628,322” Really?

Give it a spin here. And tell me what you get if you ask about “float house.”
