Here are the first round of winners at the 2023 JUNOs

[I got the original version of this post COMPLETELY wrong. I blame the switch to DST. This is the corrected post. -AC]

There are dozens and dozens of JUNO categories, far too many to fit into the TV broadcast so there’s a gala event on the Saturday night that takes care of everything but the six or show awards that we see on TV. Let’s start with the rock-related stuff.

  • Rock album: Otherness, Alexisonfire
  • Alternative album: Blue Rev, Alvvways
  • Metal/hard rock album: Synchro Anarchy, Voivod
  • Group of the year: Arkells
  • Breakthrough group: Banx & Ranx
  • Adult Alternative Album: Colder Streams, The Sadies

The full list of winners can be found here. The JUNOS run tomorrow night this year (March 13) so as not to conflict with the Academy Awards.
