Here are the nominees for the 2024 Polaris Heritage Prize

The Polaris Prize has been honouring excellence in Canadian music for about twenty years. But what about all the great Canadian albums that were released before Polaris? This is the where the Slaight Family Heritage Prize comes in. Look at it as a Hall of Fame-type thing.

Here are the albums up for nomination this year. Two will receive Heritage Prize designation with one chosen by a special jury and the other voted on by the public.

  • The Oscar Peterson Trio, Canadiana Suite
  • Robbie Robertson, Robbie Robertson
  • Slow, Against The Glass
  • Tegan And Sara, So Jealous
  • Robert Charlebois & Louise Forestier,Lindberg
  • The Weakerthans, Reconstruction Site.

The winners will be announced later this year.
