Here are the year-end charts for Canadian rock in 2022

Mediabase, the company that tracks radio airplay and other statistics, has issued its list of the biggest rock songs of 2022. Let’s start with alt-rock.

Coin had the top radio song of the year with “Chapstick” followed by two Canadian acts, Boy Golden and Bob Moses. Overall, the top 30 featured 16 Canadian songs. That’s CanCon at work.

Here’s the active rock chart, led by two Canadian acts. Canuck artists occupy 10 of the top 30.
