Have you been out shopping for vinyl or CDs recently? How about streaming music? Here’s where Canada is this week, according to Luminate.

CDs sold in Canada last week: 36,865 (up a very healthy 15.5% from last week)
Vinyl sales in Canada last week: 38,974 (way up, too; 18.8%.)
CDs sold in Canada this year: 1,009,951(down 6.7% from this point last year)
Vinyl sold in Canada this year: 1,104,162 (up 16.5% from a year ago).

Streaming numbers:

Songs streamed in Canada last week: 2,917,090,950 (up 1.0% from last week)
Songs streamed in Canada so far this year: 97,579,474,054 (up 56% from this time in 2024. We will probably hit 100 million for the year next week.)
