Here’s a tour of the Chelsea, one of the most famous rock’n’roll hotels

The Chelsea Hotel is legendary for its famous guests (Janis Joplin, Leonard Cohen, Patti Smyth, Andy Warhol, etc,) and for the things its walls have seen, including the mysterious stabbing death of Sid Vicious’ girlfriend, Nancy Spungen, in 1978. Songs have been written about the place (think “Chelsea Morning” by Joni Mitchell).

Architectural Digest offers this video tour of the Chelsea. (Via Sean)
