Here’s How You Can Help Foos Drummer Taylor Hawkins Write His New Album

Normally you’ll find Taylor Hawkins holding the beat for his boss Dave Grohl in the Foo Fighters. But just like Dave, Taylor is keen to prove that he’s more than just a drummer. That’s why he steps out from behind the kit every once in a while to make a record of his own.

This time, though, he’s trying something different. Using an app called WholeWorldBand, he’s inviting anyone anywhere in the world to contribute to this new project.

Using a video session featuring his playing, fans can write material around what he’s playing. You can go in-depth with the project here, or you can just watch this video to maybe get some ideas.
